Dolphin Nemo is a family business. Aisha and Mikael (Michael) have run it from Mahé since 1985, with an office in Victoria and a kiosk on Beau Vallon beach, in front of the Berjaya. The crew speaks English, French and Seychellois Creole.

The glass-bottom boat is for everyone who wants to see the reef and would rather stay dry. Those who snorkel go in; the rest watch the same reef through the floor of the boat.

The sea decides more than we do. If the east side is rough we leave from Beau Vallon instead of Eden Island, and we tell you the evening before. Nothing is paid until you have our confirmation in writing.

St Anne Marine Park by glass-bottom boat

We leave Eden Island North Marina at ten and cross into the marine park, sheltered water a few minutes from Mahé. The first stop is over the reef: the boat holds position and you watch the coral and the fish through the glass floor. Then anyone who wants to snorkel goes in, with mask, snorkel and fins from the boat.
